Jeffrey Silberman is a corporate lawyer and ski patroller based in Santa Fe. After graduating from NYU Law School in 2014, he worked in New York "biglaw" for 7 years before decamping with his wife, famed NYC restaurateur Emily Hyland, to New Mexico to live with a... slightly slower pace of life. After moving, he quickly obtained his EMT-B and Wilderness First Responder, and has been treating concussions and splinting legs at Ski Santa Fe ever since. He continues to practice law, specializing in general corporate and business matters, on a mostly part-time basis through his law firm Epochē Legal.

Before all of that, Jeff was born with congenital cholesteatomas. By the time they were discovered around age three, his right middle ear was already significantly damaged, and his hearing loss was and remains profound. Multiple surgeries using implants failed to restore his hearing, and he never received occupational therapy during childhood. These challenges created a drive to improve treatment and support for others facing similar conditions, and he is grateful he has the opportunity to explore that by being considered as a candidate for the board of the Presbyterian Ear Institute.
